Christmas Lights Switch On
2nd December | 4:30pm – 5:45pm
The Craft Village is about to officially begin the festive season on Saturday, December 2nd with the annual Christmas lights switch on. The Village will be transformed into a winter wonderland featuring stunning lights and decorations.
Felix Healy will kick things off from 4:30pm with live Christmas Music under the canopy. There will be free face painting, balloon modelling and sweets for all the good children. Visitors will also have an opportunity to meet and take their photograph with Father Christmas and Mrs Clause before they take to the stage for the big switch on.
Kids Arts and Crafts Workshops – in aid of Foyle Search and Rescue
9th December – 12pm | 1pm | 2pm
Due to unforeseen circumstances – Arts and Crafts workshops have been moved to the Garden of Reflection Gallery, 16 Bishop Street.
Decorate and take home your very own Christmas Baubles with our Kids Christmas arts and crafts workshops. All proceeds will go to Foyle Search and Rescue. Workshops take place on Saturday the 9th December at 12pm,1pm and 2pm. Book your tickets online now.
Family Fun Day (12 days of Christmas)
16th December | 4:30pm – 5:45pm
The Craft Village teams up with Your Derry and Derry and Strabane District Council to deliver an action packed day as part of the citywide “12 days of Christmas” promotion. Throughout the day we will have live entertainment from The Hitmen as well as walkabout characters including Santa Clause Himself. Kids can take advantage of the free Christmas themed face painting and balloon modelling.
All shops will be offering ONE DAY ONLY promotions including discounts, competitions and freebies – so be sure to come along and pick up the perfect gift for that special someone. With our wide range of unique gifts – there really is something for everyone.
The Craft Village “Crafters” will be taking over the Cottage for a unique meet the maker event. Come along to speak with the artists and take part in some of the live demonstrations throughout the day. Free refreshments will be served including mulled wine and mince pies.
Be sure to hang around until 7pm when we host the annual Rickety Wheel….This years charity night is in aid of Foyle Search and Rescue
Charity Rickety Wheel
16th December | 7pm – 9:30pm
Festive celebrations will continue into the night with live music and kids entertainment. The evening will be hosted by and feature music from the very talented Ruth Mc Philips.
